Camping de Wildhoeve is a family campsite on the Veluwe that combines luxurious comfort with nature-focused adventure. Guests can camp with their own tent, caravan, camper or hire various fully arranged accommodations.

You can rent a Boshuis, Boshut, Artcamp, Astro Mobile Home (4 persons), Safaritent (6 persons) or Bostent. Each option is pre-set on the campsite, giving you a ready-made stay without bringing your own equipment.

All camping pitches are comfort pitches supplied with an individual water tap and drain, CAI television connection, 8-amp electricity and campsite-wide WiFi.

Camping de Wildhoeve reopens for the new season on 27 March 2026.

The campsite is at Hanendorperweg 102, 8166 JJ Emst, right in the forests of the Veluwe in the Netherlands.

Yes. Camping de Wildhoeve is car-free: after setting up your tent, caravan or camper, you must park your vehicle in the central car park. Handcarts are available at the barrier so you can easily move luggage or groceries to and from your pitch.

Pets are not allowed; dogs and other animals cannot be brought onto the campsite.

One additional small tent up to 5 m² is permitted on each pitch.

Free WiFi is available; select the network Wildhoeve 1, 2 or 3 depending on your location. The service is suitable for general use but may be slower than home broadband.

Guests have free use of a wide range of on-site facilities, including several swimming pools and a water playground, bicycle rental, a BMX track, a tennis court, a jeu-de-boules lane, playgrounds, sanitary buildings, the reception with campsite shop and Brasserie de Houtvesterij.

Pool opening hours vary by season. During the low season, it is open Sunday–Thursday from 09:30–12:30 and 14:00–17:00, and Friday–Saturday from 09:30–12:30 and 14:00–20:00. During the high season, it operates Monday–Saturday from 09:30–12:30 and 14:00–20:00, and on Sunday from 09:30–12:30 and 14:00–17:00.

Check-in for camping pitches starts at 14:00, with check-out required before 12:00. Rental accommodations are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival, and guests must check out before 10:00.

A standard camping pitch is €39.50 per night for two guests, plus a tourist tax of €1.00 per person per night, increasing to €64.50 per night in the high season. Rental accommodations start at €554.50, exclusive of a €1.50 tourist tax per person per night, and rise to €1,735.50 in the high season. All rates may vary.

Payments are accepted through iDEAL and Wero for both on-site transactions and online bookings. No other payment methods are specified.

All sanitary blocks, the reception area and the main on-site facilities are wheelchair-accessible. In addition, the sanitary building next to the Reeënweide contains an accessible children’s restroom, and the large Reeënweide field offers a playground structure designed for wheelchair access.

Charcoal barbecues are permitted only when the regional fire-risk status is Code Green; during Phase 2 all barbecuing is prohibited. Quiet hours commence at 11:00 PM. Guests are required to keep noise to a minimum from this time onward.

Yes, a chemical toilet disposal point for motorhomes and caravans is available on the campsite.

Yes. The campsite accepts postal deliveries and packages for guests; items can be collected at reception.

Yes. Motorhomes and campers are welcome on all comfort pitches. Each pitch has its own drinking-water tap and a grey-water drain so you can refill your fresh-water tank and empty waste water directly. Pitches also supply 8-amp electricity, a CAI television connection and campsite-wide WiFi. In addition, a dedicated chemical toilet disposal point for motorhomes is available elsewhere on the campsite.

“Wild op de camping” is a guided wildlife-observation activity organised on site. During these sessions, staff help guests spot animals around the campsite in a responsible manner. Details about upcoming outings are shared locally during your stay.

The tourist tax is €1.00 per person per night for camping pitches and €1.50 per person per night for all rental accommodations.

Artcamp is a multi-part artwork on the campsite that also serves as a sleeping accommodation. It offers a unique ‘sleep in an artwork’ experience and can host up to 6 guests.

Yes. Bicycles and skelters can be rented directly at reception. The campsite connects to the regional cycling network and reception also provides suggested routes. In addition, you can purchase cycle maps, walking routes and various souvenirs there.

Mobile coverage on the campsite is not optimal. In emergencies, guests can always reach staff via the day-and-night intercom at reception.

From Apeldoorn station, RRReis bus lines 202 and 204 depart every 30 minutes and reach the Hezeplein stop in Emst in about 23 minutes. The same lines run from Zwolle station (48 minutes). Hezeplein is the closest stop and lies 4.4 km from the campsite.
